Alexandria (Alex) Chu is a Strategy and Operations Program Manager for Google Maps. Prior to joining Maps, Alex worked in financial services in New York, focusing on investment banking compliance for multinational banks. She transitioned into mobility upon joining Google as the global mobility payroll and M&A payroll lead. She then built Google’s global mobility solutions (GMS) team: internal consults to Alphabet whenever the business and/or HR teams require input to solutions with a geographic element. The team’s scope ranges from providing guidance on enterprise site strategy to advising on potential solutions to retain employees who are at risk for displacement due to immigration challenges. After successfully launching the GMS, Alex was recruited to help build and deliver strategy for Google Maps’ geo data operations org.
